Dr. Lockard grew up in Prairie City, Illinois. She attended the University of Illinois in Urbana-Champaign, where she graduated magna cum laude with honors, with a degree in Biology, and was elected to Phi Beta Kappa. She then graduated with honors from the University of Illinois medical school in Rockford, and was elected to the Alpha Omega Alpha honor society.
She did her pediatrics residency in Columbus, Ohio at Columbus Children's Hospital (now Nationwide Children's Hospital), where she received a resident teaching award and then stayed a fourth year to be a chief resident. She opened her practice in Macomb in 2004. She is board-certified in pediatrics.
In her spare time, she enjoys spending time with her children, gardening, & running.
