Pediatrics

We specialize in pediatrics, and take care of patients from newborns through age 18.

Dr. Mary Lockard is a board-certified pediatrician, and provides care for patients from newborns through age 18 years. She sees newborns and hospitalized children at McDonough District Hospital. She provides an array of services, from well visits to same-day sick visits and care for injuries. She cares for children with special needs and behavioral issues, and can perform a variety of procedures in the office.

A pediatrician is a doctor that has completed a residency program in pediatrics. This is an additional three years of training after four years of college and four years of medical school, and is focused solely on children. Training takes place in children's hospitals and children's clinics, and covers a range from premature infants to adolescents with major medical problems. A pediatrician is a specialist for your child.
