Internal Medicine

Dr. David Miller is board-certified in internal medicine, and provides care for patients ages 18 years and older.  He takes care of his own patients at McDonough District Hospital. As an internal medicine specialist, he cares for patients with many complex medical conditions.  He has a special interest in diabetes.  He is able to perform a variety of procedures in the office.

An internist is a physician who has completed college, four years of medical school, and a three year residency in internal medicine. This additional training is focused solely on the care of adults, and ranges from long-term care of patients with complex medical problems in outpatient clinics to critical care medicine in an ICU setting.  An internist is a physician who specializes in adult medicine.
